A PNC called today about a situation involving his mortgage company who both admitted it  in a letter it "erroneously sent your account information to to a commercial entity not associated with HSBC." They offered him one year of free credit monitoring but it seems to me that there should be a cause of action for all the time he is having to spend monitoring his account, fighting fraudulent claims (he's had two already) etc.  Any help would be appreciated.
