I have been getting a number of calls from clients who got phone calls from servicers offering them a 3 month forebearance in making mtg. pmts. due to Hurricane Irma/FEMA. They were told the three months of payments they didn’t have to pay would be added on to the principal balance. Nothing was in writing. After the 3 months was up the servicers called asking for the 3 months past due, and refused to allow them to resume making monthly mtg. payments unless the paid the 3 mos. in arrears. Has anyone else been getting these calls.

And for my client, it was the LAST payment.  I advised her to just make the payment but she listened to the servicer.
