Does anyone know where I can find earlier builds of the stand-alone flash players? I have 11.7 and the new 12, but I would like to get all versions of the Flash projector if I could. I have huge collections of Flash games and applications and such (over 123GB), and I would like to also have the debugger option for testing as well.
EDIT3: If the standalone/projector does indeed also end up containing said time-bomb, the next best solution I can think of is to use Ruffle browser addon/extension to play your flash content using your browser.
Yup. I was about to edit my post but: after doing some further digging, it turns out the arcane voodoo of ALSA is best consigned to the dustbin of history and it's time to finally get over my suspiciousness of pulseaudio: installing pulseaudio-alsa, deleting /.asoundrc entirely, and out of an abundance of paranoia symlinking /etc/asound.conf to /etc/alsa/conf.d/99-pulseaudio-default.conf fixed it. That basically just routes ALSA to pulseaudio, which is rather ironic given that pulseaudio supposedly sits on top of ALSA, but here we are. The problem wasn't with flashplayer at all, but with ALSA. Derp.
I am also experiencing the problem of having no sound when playing anything. Like @Undeemiss, I am stumped at how to fix that. Running ldd /usr/bin/flashplayer doesn't seem to indicate any missing dependencies. It appears to be using ALSA, which is pretty arcane voodoo to me, and I'm also stumped at how to get it to work.
After upgrading to the latest AIR SDK 33 from Harman, I just wonder if there's a newly released flash projector content debugger as well. I usually download the flash player for debugging from the link debugger downloads page.
The game that I'm developing is purely targeting mobile and I just use the flash projector for debugging purpose.
The debugger is a standalone flash player that runs without a browser on your computer. If you put the address of your DVX switcher flash file in as the file to open you can still access the switcher setup on the DVX. Enter this in the file open dialog: _hd.swf
Gnash flash player is a solid replacement for Adobe Flash Player that comes as a standalone desktop player and a web browser plug-in. It supports all Flash-based multimedia formats and serves as a great alternative to Adobe Flash Player for Mac. As a plugin, Gnash is available in many popular browsers. Its version for Windows, however, has not received updates since 2012, so it provides no support for SWF version 10. You can download Gnash here.
OK,, setting either 'plugins.http_https_only' or 'plugins.flashBlock.enabled' work, but still FF is a pain in this matter: it asks you to 1) Activate Adobe flash player and then 2) Allow and remember / Allow Now! Even if local .SWF files can then play, all this is a totally unjustifiable and annoying procedure.
@mikewalsh & @xenial - I found earlier flashprojector versions - are in our .pet archive. 5-8mb.
Unpack in an empty folder (tar -zxvf) & rename flashplayer to flashprojector & run flash games.

Hi mike.
Currently i have adobe flash player projector version 11.2.202.644 on my computer to run downloaded swf files..some of them require a newer version to run them..is there any way of obtaining a newer version to use although obviously not the latest version.
@mike and trister.
thanks for the replies.
yea the version 11 of the standalone projector is playing my locally downloaded just fine but their is the odd one which will only run in my pale moon browser with a v30 something plugin installed so im assuming those games required a later flash.
i have downloaded approximately 100gb of flash games of my choosing and i would say 90% of them are running in the projector just fine.
I would agree that an upgrade to a 64bit machine would be beneficial.To be honest i should of started archiving in 2017 when the end of life was first announced.Im just hoping most gamesites will not go up in smoke in the new year.
It runs the majority of my swf files but in some instances some files need to be run in my pale moon browser with flash plugin 32.0.0.171.
I cannot find any 32bit linix flash projectors anywhere.
any ideas please..?
Yes, the link above from trister IS what you need. I know they're large downloads, but that's because each one is the complete 'debug' tarball for that release, and contains flashplayers for every platform that was supported.
hello mike and trister.
i have looked at the contents of the above linked flashplayer archives and i cannot find a 32bit standalone player anywhere.thanks for your help but i feel i should stick with what i have and see how the wind blows in the new year.
