Fair play.
The osc extra for director is awesome and using flash connection with it is a great system for getting osc data into flash from other locations like processing or openframeworks.
I needed mike input and analysis fast oneday and antoine schmitts xtra didn't let me down at short notice.
I needed director as a quick way to analyse meshes as it makes it super easy to access verts and texture coords so I could out put them to another quick read format because of it's super easy text system.
Lingo is an amazing language to teach in it reads as programming does.
in the past year director saved me quite a few times.
It's been running an exhibition in the Rsc since October for me.
I often find it's web protocol more reliant than flash.. In exes it charges and slowdown less.
The way I use unity is probably deeply rooted in the way i used to use director.
But I don't think I will make another game in director unless it gets a decent update. If it does I will definitely give it a try.
But my suspicion is that the update is called "molehill", and if it is then that's great news because unity will be able to export to and we are all part if the same family
