Subject: Education Director Position

Shalom,

I am very interested in applying for the position of Education Director that was posted on Jewish Jobs.  I am someone who has been involved in Jewish education for many years.  I moved to Baltimore some 15 years ago for the sole purpose of getting a Masters in Jewish Education, which I completed with honors in 2003.  My work has given me the privilege of learning from some of the best educators in Baltimore.  I have won awards for my teaching and have developed wonderful relationships with my fellow teachers and my students.

I am passionate about Jewish education and my Jewish heritage.  My students will tell you that my lessons are innovative and interesting.  I have  led students on day trips and overnight trips.  I have created educational family programs and programs for multi-level age groups.  As an administrator I would be able to help my teachers develop creative, engaging lessons and programs.

I look forward to hearing back from you about this position.  My resume follows the body of this letter and references are after my resume.

Thank you for your attention to this.

Sincerely,

Elaine Katz
