LEAK EDIT:: Drake Certified Lover Boy Album Download (Zip Online) 2021, Drake may have revealed the release date for his new album Certified Lover Boy with a brief video teaser during ESPN's SportsCenter. In the clip, spotted by Pitchfork, an unseen figure holds up a sign reading CLB September 3. A representative for Drake told Rolling Stone that the clip can be taken "at face value" without confirming that the album will actually be released nex week.

With Kanye West once again not dropping his album after the latest Donda event, could he finally strike next week with Drake's release date seemingly in the books? Last week, the two rap superstars traded shots, with Drake firing first on Trippie Redd's new song, "Betrayal." "All these fools I'm beefin' that I barely know/ Forty-five, forty-four (Burned out), let it go/ Ye ain't changin' s--- for me, it's set in stone," he rapped.
On July 30, Drake announced he had finished Certified Lover Boy, which he started recording in April 2019.
According to hip-hop journalist Elliott Wilson, who has previously interviewed Drake, the emojis art will be the album's cover. Billboard has reached out to Drake's reps.
Drake took to Instagram on Monday (August 30) to break the news, posting a collage of pregnant women emojis with the caption, “CERTIFIED LOVER BOY SEPTEMBER 3.”
Whether or not September 3 actually materializes as the release date for both albums, one thing is clear: Drake and Kanye are masters of making headlines.
While Drake, 34, and Kanye, 44, won't really go head-to-head, the two superstars appeared to be setting up an epic chart clash withs some salty verses, with Drake firing first on Trippie Redd's new song, "Betrayal." "All these fools I'm beefin' that I barely know/ Forty-five, forty-four (Burned out), let it go/ Ye ain't changin' s--- for me, it's set in stone," he rapped. Ye followed up by posting Drake's home address on Instagram before quickly deleting it.
Photos of the house after the attack ended up on the internet and show signs left on the front of the property with several messages, including about an alleged upcoming release of Certified Lover Boy - which in fact seems to be about to happen.
Drake issued the three-song Scary Hours 2 EP in March, and has also joined Smiley and Brent Faiyaz on songs this year. In May, he and Lil Wayne joined Nicki Minaj on “Seeing Green,” a new bonus track that accompanied the belated streaming debut of her 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty. Before that, Drake had teamed up on new tracks with Lil Yachty, DJ Khaled, Future, Lil Wayne, and Popcaan. Outside of the studio, he launched his own cannabis brand and was honored at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards as the Artist of the Decade.
He also drove around his hometown to hand out some swag.
After Drake bragged on Trippie Redd’s recent track “Betrayal” that “Ye ain’t changin shit for me, it’s set in stone” (meaning CLB’s date was always locked in regardless of Kanye’s moves), the first clue came last Friday in the middle of ESPN’s SportsCenter no less. During the broadcast, a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it image of someone holding a sign that read ‘CLB September 3’ flashed, with ESPN cheekily referring to it as a hack on their Twitter account. You can watch the moment here:
On August 18, Drake revealed he contracted COVID-19 amid the pandemic, which led to temporary hair loss, a noted side-effect of the virus. Drake was also one of the first celebrities to publicly test for the virus in March 2020, having been in contact with Kevin Durant, who had tested positive.
Drake is the highest-certified digital singles artiste ever in the United States, having moved 142 million units based on combined sales and on-demand streams. The pop star has won four Grammy awards along with several others accolades.
The proper follow-up to 2018’s Scorpion, Certified Lover Boy is expected to include Drake’s double-platinum collaboration with Lil Durk, “Laugh Now Cry Later.” Other details surrounding the album remain scarce for now.
Drake first began hyping CLB in August 2020 in the midst of the first pandemic summer, with "Laugh Now Cry Later," then teasing a potential Jan. 2021 drop. That date came and went and then Drizzy filled the gap with the three-song Scary Hours 2 EP featuring "What's Next," Wants and Needs" and "Lemon Pepper Freestyle."
On Friday morning, the Six God interrupted ESPN‘s regularly scheduled SportsCenter program with a cryptic, glitchy commercial to make the announcement. Stylized in the form of a broadcast hack, the stealthy ad featured a piece of cardboard with a clear, handwritten message: “CLB September 3.”
“OVO, we aim for the head, we don’t aim to please. Certified Lover Boy on the way, and that’s for anyone in the way.”
“@ovomark and @drwferguson giving out tees tonight in the 6 link up with the man demmm,” Drake wrote.
On August 10, King James took to Instagram stories to declare "CLB Coming Soon People. My brother ain't FN around". Unfortunately, the statement wasn't accompanied by any new audio previews. Instead, Drake's "4PM in Callabasas" played in the background.
Last week, Drake seemed to hint that CLB was imminent on ESPN’s flagship programme ‘SportsCenter’, sneaking in an image of a fan holding up a sign reading “CLB September 3” in between baseball highlights.
Aside from quenching fans' thirst for more info on the anticipated album, the announcement also deepens Drake's much-publicized beef with Kanye. September 3 is the date DONDA will reportedly release, too, a not-so-accidental coincidence that's sure to see the two artists further clash.
The Canadian rap star posted an image of 12 expectant mom emojis on Instagram along with the all-caps message “Certified Lover Boy September 3.”

Kanye seemingly responded to Drake's latest on-record diss in a group text with other rappers, including Drizzy's other hip-hop rival Pusha T. Last week, Ye reportedly posted and quickly deleted a screenshot of his group chat on Instagram, which featured a photo of actor Joaquin Phoenix in his full Joker movie makeup.“I live for this. I’ve been f---ed with by nerd a-- jock n----s like you my whole life. You will never recover. I promise you,” Kanye wrote in the group text, which was screengrabbed by NME.
Later in the evening, OVO Mark drove around the streets of Toronto to gift fans with the merch. Mark even hopped on Live with Drake as he was passing out the t-shirts.

In an average-looking “SportsCenter” promo on ESPN, the video glitched in and out for a few seconds, and a man holding a cardboard sign reading “CLB September 3” briefly appeared with garbled audio. The normal “SportsCenter” video came back in, and it was business as usual, despite the odd message.
