We are hiring for a Senior PL/SQL Developer opportunity for a long-term contract role in Menlo Park, CA (Hybrid – 3 to 4 days onsite per week).

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior PL/SQL Developer with strong expertise in Oracle database development, SQL optimization, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will work closely with database administrators and application teams to develop scalable database solutions, optimize performance, and support critical production systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL and PL/SQL programs in Oracle environments.
- Perform advanced query optimization and performance tuning for large-scale databases.
- Collaborate with DBAs to troubleshoot and resolve production-related database issues.
- Review and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Analyze database performance bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
- Support production environments and perform root cause analysis for critical incidents.
- Ensure database integrity, reliability, scalability, and high performance.
- Participate in code reviews and database design discussions.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Oracle Database Development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Extensive experience with query optimization and performance tuning.
- Deep understanding of Oracle database architecture and internals.
- Experience working in production support environments alongside DBAs.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale or high-volume database systems.
- Familiarity with Oracle monitoring, diagnostic, and performance tools.
- Understanding of application-to-database interaction patterns.
- Experience with database scalability and high-availability environments.
