Job Title: Lead Backend Engineer - (Java + Golang + Temporal)
Location: Remote (USA)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Golang, Distributed Systems, and Workflow Orchestration to design and build scalable backend services for an enterprise platform focused on infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about platform engineering, automation, and highly reliable distributed architectures.
Required Experience:
· 8–12+ years of backend software engineering experience
· Strong expertise in:
o Java
o Go (Golang)
o Distributed Systems
o Backend Architecture
o API Design & Development
o Workflow Orchestration
o Temporal (preferred)
· Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant enterprise platforms
· Strong understanding of concurrency, resiliency, and service reliability patterns
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and develop backend services and APIs for infrastructure lifecycle management
· Build and maintain workflow orchestration solutions using Temporal or similar platforms
· Develop provider integration layers and service orchestration components
· Implement automation frameworks for configuration, compliance, and lifecycle operations
· Ensure platform reliability through:
o Idempotent processing
o Retry mechanisms
o Fault-tolerant design
o Observability and monitoring
· Integrate with enterprise platforms including:
o Registry systems
o Workflow engines
o UI platforms
· Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management
· Create technical documentation, architecture designs, and operational runbooks
· Collaborate with infrastructure, platform, security, and engineering teams

· Exposure to hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments
· Experience operating workflow orchestration platforms in enterprise environments
· Healthcare domain experience is a plus
