- EVM vs. Non-EVM Ecosystems: Deciding whether you are building for Ethereum-compatible chains (EVM) or alternatives like Solana.
- Core Programming Languages Solidity: The most widely used language for EVM-compatible blockchains Vyper
- A Python-based alternative for the EVM focused heavily on simplicity and auditability.
- Rust: The standard language for high-performance networks like Solana and Substrate.
- Move: Used in networks like Aptos and Sui.
- 2. Development Frameworks & Tooling Remix IDE: A web-based environment used to write, compile, and deploy simple smart contracts.
- Hardhat: A highly popular development environment for compiling, deploying, and testing Ethereum software.
- Foundry: A fast, portable, and modular testing framework that lets you write tests in Solidity.
