Must have experience in:
Platform Strategy & Architecture: Design and govern enterprise-wide observability frameworks, data pipelines, and distributed tracing architecture across on prem and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
Technical Leadership: Guide the adoption of instrumentation standards like OpenTelemetry and continuously reduce alert fatigue and data ingestion costs.
Hands-on experience in implementation of all observability features like APM, Synthetics, Log observability, RUM and dashboard creation.
ITSI integration and its utilization
Capacity to understand and handle Observability onboarding of various Web (Java, .NET etc.) and Database (DB2, Sybase, Oracle, etc.) technologies.
AIOps Integration: Implement agentic Al workflows, anomaly detection, and automated root cause analysis (RCA) to shift from reactive troubleshooting to predictive system health.
Developer Enablement: Build internal developer platforms (IDPs) and self-service diagnostic tools to lessen the cognitive load on engineering teams.
Must have skillset:
Tool Expertise: Deep hands-on proficiency with major observability tools (e.g. Splunk, Dynatrace etc.)
Engineering Acumen: Advanced scripting and coding capabilities (Python, Go, JavaScript) combined with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).
Infrastructure Knowledge: Cloud-native architectures, container orchestration and distributed
systems.
Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a proven track record of driving cultural change and standardizing practices across large organizations.
