Job Description:

The Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls that protect cloud infrastructure, cloud-native applications, and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) platforms. The role focuses on reducing risk, ensuring compliance, and enabling secure innovation in cloud and AI environments.

 

Responsibilities: 

• Design and implement security controls for cloud (IaaS/PaaS) and cloud-native environments

• Secure AI/ML platforms, data pipelines, and APIs

• Identify and mitigate cloud security risks and misconfigurations

• Work with DevOps & Data teams to embed security into CI/CD (DevSecOps/MLOps)

• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews

• Monitor security events, investigate alerts, and support incident response

• Create/modify Splunk alerts, dashboards, and reports

• Implement encryption, key management, and DLP controls

• Support compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)

Must-Have Skills:

• Cloud security architecture & continuous monitoring

• IAM, encryption, IDS/IPS, firewalls

• Multi-cloud security design

• NIST & ISO 27001 frameworks

• Splunk SIEM engineering

• Incident response & digital forensics

Preferred:

• GSEC, CEH, CISA, or CCSP

• AWS or Cloud Security certification

• Experience with CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Palo Alto, ZScaler, Netskope
