Rate: $Open / hr

Contract: Long Term

Overview

We are looking for a Staff Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer with 10+ years of experience in software development in test automation. The ideal candidate is an expert in automation frameworks, Java, Selenium, TestNG, Cypress/Playwright, and API testing, with strong leadership skills and the ability to drive innovation using AI in test automation. This is a hands-on role requiring technical depth, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, build, and scale automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
Apply AI/ML for test case generation, self-healing automation, and predictive testing.
Lead automation strategy, ensure CI/CD integration, and optimize pipelines.
Collaborate with dev, product, and DevOps teams for quality delivery at scale.
Mentor QE engineers, promote best practices, and foster a quality-first culture.
Drive test strategy for vendor integrations and complex systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field.
12+ years in software development in test automation.
Strong Java coding skills; expertise in Selenium, TestNG, JUnit.
Experience with Cypress/Playwright for modern UI automation.
Proficient in API testing and SQL (complex queries, stored procedures).
Experience with Git/SVN, CI/CD pipelines, and open-source tools.
Proven track record in framework development and test strategy.
Ability to deliver in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Leadership Qualities

Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.
Ability to balance hands-on coding with strategic vision.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management.
