LATIN AMERICA Requirement - Hiring: IT Shipboard Business and Operations Analyst – Cruise industry experiences & shipboard hotel applications such as SPMS and POS.

Location: REMOTE

Rate: Open / hr

Contract: Long Term

 

 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Cruise industry experience is required.
• Familiarity with shipboard hotel applications such as SPMS and POS.
• Strong coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
• Basic troubleshooting knowledge of enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting or delivering cross-functional IT projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Hospitality, or related field preferred.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Shipboard Business and Operations Analyst – IT is responsible for supporting shipboard and shoreside applications that enable hotel operations, including SPMS (Property Management System), POS, guest-facing systems, hotel inventory, and itinerary management. This role focuses on cross-functional coordination, and issue prioritization. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cruise operations, excellent communication skills, and solid foundational IT knowledge.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING –

• Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations, including business processes, return on investment modeling
• Support issue triage and application tracking for SPMS, POS, and guest-facing systems.
• Work cross-functionally with Hotel, Marine, and Fleet Operations teams to gather and document business requirements.
• Coordinate prioritization of IT initiatives across departments, escalating blockers as needed.
• Assist with planning, testing, and deployment of system updates, upgrades, and new implementations.
• Support user acceptance testing and validation in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain process documentation and user references for shipboard hotel operations systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by analyzing guest and crew feedback and system usage trends.
