Job Title: Jr. QA Tester / AnalystLocation: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Duration: Contract - 1 Year+
Rate: $43/hr
Job SummaryUnder broad supervision, the Jr. QA Tester/Analyst supports the execution of software testing lifecycle activities to ensure successful implementation of test strategies and plans. This role focuses on validating application quality through structured testing methodologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, PMO, and technical vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Execute testing lifecycle deliverables in alignment with standard QA methodologies
- Create, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Analyze test results and report defects, issues, and anomalies
- Perform manual and/or automated testing for custom applications and GIS components
- Collaborate with business analysts and SMEs to develop UAT test scenarios
- Support Agile teams in sprint testing activities
- Participate in defect triage meetings, demos, and QA reviews
- Ensure testing timelines are met and escalate risks or bottlenecks
- Prepare Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and validate UAT readiness
- Assist in preparing UAT documentation and guide end users during testing
- Provide regular status updates to QA leadership
Required Qualifications Education- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
Experience- 3–5 years of experience in software testing
- Experience working on mid-to-large scale system development projects
- Hands-on experience in test planning, execution, and defect tracking
- Experience with Agile/SDLC methodologies
- Familiarity with test automation and defect management tools
- Experience in GIS testing and custom application testing
Technical Skills- Manual and/or automated testing
- Test case design and execution
- Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM)
- UAT planning and coordination
- Performance, regression, security, and system testing
- Test data preparation and validation
- Tools: GitHub, ServiceNow (preferred)
