Test Automation Engineer for medical device domain

Role: Test Automation Engineer
Location: SALT LAKE CITY, UT


We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with experience in medical devices / regulated healthcare environment to support automation for Surgery Devices. The role involves reviewing manual test cases, converting them into automation scripts, executing tests, and capturing compliance-ready evidence.

Key Responsibilities

•            Review and understand manual test cases / test scenarios

•            Convert test cases into automated test scripts

•            Develop and maintain automation using:

o            Python

o            Selenium (Web)

o            Appium (Mobile / Device)

o            Qt automation tools (UI / device interface)

•            Execute automated test suites (functional & regression)

•            Analyze results and log defects

•            Capture test evidence (logs, screenshots, reports) for compliance

•            Ensure traceability (Requirement → Test Case → Result)

•            Support validation documentation and audit readiness

•            Collaborate with QA, Dev, Product, and Regulatory teams

Domain Requirement (Mandatory)

•            Hands-on experience in Medical Device / Healthcare domain

•            Strong understanding of:

o            Regulated environments

o            Software validation practices

o            Standards such as FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 13485

Technical Skills

•            Strong programming in Python

•            Experience with:

o            Selenium WebDriver

o            Appium

o            Qt automation tools (Squish / Qt Test or similar)

•            Knowledge of:

o            Test frameworks (PyTest / Robot / similar)

o            Version control (Git)

o            CI/CD tools (Jenkins / Azure DevOps)

Qualifications

•            Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering (CS / IT / Electronics / Biomedical)

•            5–8 years in test automation

•            Experience in device/UI testing preferred
