Title: Checkpoint F5 Engineer
Location: Chicago IL – Onsite
Duration: Contract / Full Time
Manage and maintain F5 Load Balancer systems: Perform regular maintenance, updates, and configurations to ensure optimal performance and reliability of F5 LTM and GTM devices.
Advanced troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex issues related to load balancing, traffic management, and application delivery using F5 technologies.
Optimize traffic management: Implement and refine load balancing policies to distribute traffic efficiently across servers, ensuring minimal latency and high availability.
Monitor system health: Continuously monitor the health and performance of F5 devices, utilizing tools and dashboards to detect and address potential issues proactively.
Security management: Implement best practices for securing F5 devices, including SSL configuration, DDOS protection, and access control as per NT standards.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices for F5 load balancers.
Training and mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and support staff in the operation and management of F5 technologies.
Skills:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with F5 Load Balancers, including LTM and GTM.
Value add: Certifications: F5 Certified Technology Specialist certifications in LTM and GTM are highly desirable.
Technical skills: Proficiency in F5 configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization. Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, and HTTP.
