NEED MORE OF A VMWare PROFILE WITH Security and infra

 

• Strong hands-on VMware Administration experience with the ability to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot virtualized environments independently.
• Proficiency in Python scripting/programming with practical experience in automation, system management, and operational tasks.
• Practitioner-level candidate who is currently working in a hands-on technical role, not solely in a leadership or coordination capacity.
• Ready to contribute from Day 1, requiring minimal ramp-up and capable of independently operating and supporting the Cyber Range environment.

One-line summary: Looking for a hands-on VMware Administrator with strong Python skills who can immediately operate and maintain the Cyber Range infrastructure with minimal onboarding.

Overall Responsibilities

• Work in a team-based environment to support, maintain, and innovate 
• Install, configure, and manage on-premise network, compute, and storage hardware
• Design and manage complex network topologies, including segmented and simulated threat environments.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Cyber Range infrastructure, configurations, and operations.
• Maintain awareness of emerging industry security technologies, technology issues, regulatory issues and practices
• Provides Information Security subject matter expertise in various risk assessments (inherent and then define the residual risk of a target state)
• Weighs business needs against security concerns and recommends necessary changes to enhance information systems security
• Ensures adherence to compliance with regulations and policies
• Support cyber training exercises, red/blue team operations, and system simulations.
• May be required to lift computer equipment up to 50 lbs.

 

Basic Qualifications

• Typically a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Typically eight or more years of relevant experience  
• Thorough understanding of the applicable information security systems, policies, and procedures
• Effective communication, presentation skills, leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills  
• Proven collaboration and influencing skills
