Unix shell scripting with strong sql

 

We are seeking a skilled Unix Support Analyst to support and maintain Unix-based systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Unix shell scripting and SQL, and will work closely with application, database, and infrastructure teams to ensure system stability, performance, and reliability.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for Unix/Linux-based systems and applications
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational support
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support application troubleshooting and reporting
• Perform batch job monitoring, scheduling, and failure resolution
• Collaborate with development, database, and infrastructure teams to identify root causes and implement fixes
• Document support procedures, scripts, and operational processes
• Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities as required

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting (bash, ksh, or similar)
• Strong SQL skills for querying and data analysis
• Experience troubleshooting application and system issues in production environments
• Familiarity with job schedulers, logs, and monitoring tools
• Good communication and documentation skills
