Workday Extend Consultant

Location: Sunnyvale/CA Hybrid (Few hours per week)

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Proficiency in Workday Extend /Orchestration, Workday Studio, and Core HCM/Finance.
Integration Technologies: Strong understanding of REST APIs, SOAP, and data transformation (XML/JSON).
Experience with visual builder tools to reduce manual coding.
Experience in software development, specifically in building business applications or integrations.
Understanding of HR/Finance Processes: Ability to translate business needs into technical workflows.
Build and maintain orchestrations using the Orchestration Builder tool to define flows, map data, and perform transformations.
Utilize APIs and Workday Extend to integrate with third-party services and applications.
Business Process Automation: Design custom, event-driven workflows (e.g., triggering actions based on a new hire or updated budget).
Create custom business objects and UI pages that feel native to Workday.
Implement validation rules, calculated fields, and business process frameworks (BPF)
Ensure all built applications comply with Workday's role-based access control (RBAC) and security models.
