Role Description:
We are seeking a
skilled Snowflake Administrator to manage, optimize, and support our
Snowflake data platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Snowflake
environment setup, security management, performance tuning, cost optimization,
and ensuring high availability of data warehouse operations. You will work
closely with data engineering, analytics, and DevOps teams to maintain a robust
and scalable data ecosystem.
Key
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage Snowflake
accounts and environments.
- Monitor system performance and
optimize warehouse usage and query performance.
- Manage user roles, access controls,
and security policies.
- Implement data governance and ensure
compliance with security standards.
- Configure and manage Snowflake
resource monitors for cost control.
- Support data loading and integration
processes (ETL/ELT pipelines).
- Troubleshoot and resolve database
performance and connectivity issues.
- Perform backups, replication, and
disaster recovery planning.
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS /
Azure / GCP) for Snowflake integration.
- Collaborate with data engineers and
BI teams for schema and performance improvements.
- Maintain documentation and best
practices for Snowflake administration.
- Automate administrative tasks using
scripting (Python, Shell, etc.).
Required Skills
& Qualifications
Core Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
Data Warehouse.
- Expertise in Snowflake architecture
(virtual warehouses, micro-partitions, clustering).
- Experience in performance tuning and
cost optimization.
- Knowledge of role-based access
control (RBAC) and data security best practices.
- Strong SQL skills.
Cloud &
Integration
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS
/ Azure / GCP).
- Knowledge of data integration tools
(Informatica, Talend, Fivetran, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud storage (S3,
Azure Blob, GCS).
