Location: Princeton, NJ (Onsite)

Job Type: Contract

 

Job Description:

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented ETL Tester with strong expertise in validating data pipelines, data transformations, and data integrity across systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ETL testing along with exposure to test automation frameworks, which will be considered a strong advantage.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL processes and data pipelines
  • Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading from source to target systems
  • Perform data reconciliation and data quality checks across multiple systems
  • Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate large datasets
  • Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
  • Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements
  • Validate data warehouse, data marts, and BI reports
  • Perform regression testing and ensure data consistency after changes
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for ETL testing (where applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in ETL Testing / Data Warehouse Testing
  • Proficiency in SQL (joins, aggregations, complex queries)
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar)
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)
  • Experience in data validation, data mapping, and data profiling
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands
  • Knowledge of test lifecycle, test planning, and defect tracking
