kVCT to kvCBCT registration

In DIRART there is the option to remap kVCT intensities to MVCT, what
is the correct way to register kVCBCT and kVCT images? Will DIRART
consider them the same modality (as per image requirement in the
DIRART User Manual) ? Thanks.

I tried kVCBCT to kVCT for H/N patient scans two years old, direct registration without intensity remapping, the results were acceptable.

According to recent med phys papers, one can remap the kVCBCT intensity to kVCT intensity range in order to have better registration results. I don't have such a remapping curve in DIRART.
