Formnext and its exhibitors showcase solutions from the entire process chain of Additive Manufacturing and industrial 3D Printing. From software, technology and materials for all processes, AM production to post-processing and automation in the manufacturing process. The extensive company and product profiles of the exhibitors offer you a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the Additive Manufacturing industry all year round.

Xiris Automation unveils XVC-750, its latest weld camera with a remarkable 140+ dB High Dynamic Range (HDR) capability in the Near Infrared spectrum (NIR).
The XVC-750 enhances operator safety and efficiency by providing operators with a crystal-clear remote view of the welding process for Open Arc Welding processes during setup or run-time.
Its outstanding image contrast of the melt pool and cooling weld bead enables advanced Machine Vision analysis to make precise geometric measurements and defect detection of features in the welding process.
The XVC-750 is ideal for automated and robotic welding systems. Its compact design, robust connectivity, variety of angled optics configurations, and compatibility with different lenses make it a versatile choice for many welding applications.
The XVC-750 provides an enhanced image specifically for detecting weld defects using AI defect detection techniques. Defects that can be detected include wire feed issues, torch-to-seam alignment, burn-through, contamination, porosity, and lack of fusion.
The XVC-750 emerges as an excellent camera choice for production welding equipment and integration into most types of weld automation systems, particularly for GMAW and GTAW processes.

Led by Founder and President Cameron Serles, Xiris Automation, Inc., is a privately-held company doing business since 1989 from its location in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Xiris Automation specializes in developing optical systems for quality control, providing dynamic manufacturers with the ability to detect, recognize, and interpret quality defects in the tube & pipe, automated welding and specialty print industries. Xiris is unique in that they create all the software for their devices in-house.

Financial Controller Maxim Fisun joined Xiris in 2017, taking over the search for an ERP system. Coming from a retail environment, Fisun found that manufacturing was a very different proposition for him. The Microsoft Dynamics software he was familiar with would not work here.

From 25 possible vendors, Xiris narrowed its ERP evaluation list to 5 potential solutions: Epicor, Global Shop, Infor VISUAL, abas, and OptiProERP. After a deep search at a functional level, the final selection came down to Epicor and OptiProERP.

Xiris Automation, Inc. makes optical metrology equipment that uses Machine Vision technology to connect cameras to computers for the purpose of recognizing, identifying, measuring or detecting features in manufactured goods for process or quality control. For more information, visit www.xiris.com.
