I just built a new feature in the new client (see it live at http://dipact.appspot.com/), called "lab mode".

If you open a game, you'll find "Enable lab mode" in the upper right "more" menu.

Using lab mode, you can edit the game map, play as any of the nations in the game, and then resolve the state to see what the game would look like if it was for real.

You can then get a shareable link to your entire lab session, and share with others (e.g. your allies in the game) to discuss your plans, and refine them.

You can also use this mode to support IRL table top games, where you could use a new unstarted game as start map, and during the resolve phase input the handwritten orders using the lab mode, and resolve forward to the next phase. When the game is over, you can even send out the lab link to all participants and let them try out different scenarios to see what they should have done differently :D

Best,
Martin
