The new client is now wrapped in an Android app that provides native login and notification support.

To celebrate this, I just took the leap and uploaded it as a new Beta release of the Android Diplicity app.

Anyone in the Beta program (which is open to anyone) will soon get this new version of the app.

Anyone else can, as usual, find the new client at https://dipact.appspot.com, where it works with both iOS, Android, and desktop browsers (even if iOS browsers don't handle the push notifications - they will have to do with email notifications for now).

The new version seems to work as intended, but it is - well, a Beta version - so please report bugs and problems you encounter.

I hope you enjoy it - I know I like the new app about 1000% better than the old one!

Best,
Martin

To clarify:

To join or leave the Beta program, go to the Play Store page at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=se.oort.diplicity and look for the mention of the beta tester program.

Hey again lists,

I am writing you to announce that the first round of bugs in the new Beta client have been mostly solved (ironically, the known bug we haven't solved is one that only one of the developers is experiencing).

I'm asking all of you to join the Beta program (if you haven't already) , and possibly talk it up in the games you're playing, so that we get more testers before we start a gradual roll out to the general population.

We need more bugs discovered!

Best,
Martin
