Possibility of Event Duration?

Hi,

I like the Dipity timeline very much and would love to port a Simile
timeline project to it.

Is it possible to create an event with a duration? I'd like to have
such event shown as an horizontal line in the timeline.

Hi Philippe, we've had this request a few times now so we understand
the need. We decided not to go with the long horizontal lines as a
design choice. We tried several mockups and it ended up looking too
cluttered and not working well with our zoom-in zoom-out model.

We did added the ability to specify a date range in text of the date
field, though, so that an event flag may show "2004-2008" or "June
2008 - August 2008" for example.
