Good morning!
Last week, the staff had an Easter taster with a range of products that scored well on Ethical Consumer. If you are unfamiliar with this scoring please see:
www.ethicalconsumer.org which review many different products and companies based on their ethical performance.
In summary, the scores consider things like carbon footprint, transparency, human rights and tax performance and give a score out of 100. The best scoring egg was Ombar Blonde with 89/100. Moo Free scored 84/100. A mid-range priced egg scoring reasonably was Co-op Fairtrade Neapolitan (highly recommended by staff!) Companies to avoid include Nestle and Mondalez, but possibly surprisingly, Green & Blacks with a score of 14/100.
We would love you to share your ethical Easter finds with us....and no better reason to enjoy some chocolate!
