I used the Creation Kit to export the facegen data for JK's Skyrim, with HMB loaded alongside (but with JK's as the active plugin). It exported correctly, as far as I can tell. No errors, all the files showed up in Overwrite.
Hmm well the textures stay in the same folder under the same path and I re-link them back to the mesh in Nifskope, after exporting facegen/facetint in CK so unless I'm doing that in the reverse order I'm at a loss.
im new to 3d modelling
i exported a head with face texture made in facegen as obj or fbx ( dont know the best one ) , i then made a complete human with makehuman , now i want to import them all to cinema4d and replace the head of the full body with the one i made in facegen . i still want to maintain the face texture made by facegen . i also want animate the character .
my questions are
After exporting facegen textures from the GECK by pressing CTRL+F4 with the NPC records highlighted (note, you must be in the NPCs category in the Object Viewer, not in the All category, or else CTRL+F4 will not produce output), the output files from the GECK consist of both DDS and TGA files.
Hello everyone. I am new to GTA5 modding scene and have some basic understanding of 3d modeling and rigging and have decided to start off by rigging a custom ped model and loading it in game using AddonPed mod. For my project, I used Leon from RE6 model by "fungfung879" ( -mods.com/player/re6-leon-s-kennedy-add-on-ped-replace) and facegen to create the custom 3d model's head. Using 3DS Max with GIMS EVO installed, I imported the 'ODD' file of another custom ped (i.e, leon-which loads fine in-game) extracted using OpenIV. The model loads without any errors. I attached the facegen head model in place of Leon's head. After embedding the textures, I exported the file to a folder which generated multiple mesh files and texture files in subfolders along with one main 'ODD' file. I wasn't sure if this was how it's supposed to happen as every other model I have seen had yft, ytd, ymt files. Not being sure how to proceed, I imported the files to OpenIV which converted the 'ODD' file to 'YDD' file which loaded fine along with the textures when viewed using OpenIV's built in model viewer. After adding the model entry to AddonPed Editor, I tried loading the model in game which didn't do anyting. No error messages, no nothing. After selecting the model fron the ped selector menu, pressing 'L' doesn't bring up pedselector menu anymore. I have no clue pertaining to this issue, thus this post.
1. Export each part of the facegen model separately:
2. Import the head_0_0.rx3 with arianos' latest version of the tool
3. Go to import Wavefront(.obj)
4. Import each part of the facegen model. Make sure that Keep Vertex Order is selected in both parts.
5. Now you have 4 parts in blender:
-face
-eye
-head_0_0_head
-head_0_1_eyes
Delete the last two files and change the name of face to head_0_0_head and the name of eye to head_0_1_eyes.
6. Now for each part of the model(head and eyes) go to the Object Data Panel and in the UVMap subpanel, change the name of UVMap to map0.
7. With Arianos' tool, Export.
