The combo of Trivikram and Mahesh Babu deliver a highly entertaining action comedy, that gets packaged well with enjoyable humor, songs, dialogues, actions and emotions. Brahmanandam is simply hilarious, bringing the roof down with some hilarious laughter moments. Despite of the H-wood inspirations and logic loopholes, the solidly engaging narrative overshadow them and keeps the show rolling. Fun watch.

Sujeeth's interview yesterday where he spoke about how he used to break down Athadu's opening sequence and study it, made me rewatch the opening for nth time, and as always is the case with Athadu, I start watching one moment and end up rewatching almost the whole film! It's insane how Athadu's opening sequence can feature in all 5 Cinefix lists of Top 10 X of all time! (X = beginnings, opening shots, opening sequences, best scenes, best character introductions)

peak tollywood & peak mahesh babu, the 3 hour runtime barely feels like 1. such great writing and attention to detail & i don't think any other telugu movie has this much rewatch value. also the most memorable title card drop like, wow.

One of the few singers who had not only the voice but also knew exactly each word he delivered with utter precision of pronouncing the minutest of syllables correctly despite not being a native speaker of many other languages and also when it comes to these singing shows on TV, he was always vocal as a judge in giving suggestions to upcoming singers on how not only voice matters but also the language. He was a singer who can act at the same time as he even used to give the exact expressions according to the lyrics while performing live!
