Public Dinosaur Events always draw a crowd. Just ask Kay Thuesen public affairs coordinator for UNI Museums and Collections in Cedar Falls.
SUE called a success

They had hoped for 35,000 visitors.By the time the doors close tonight, the count will be much closer to 45,000. In Kay Thuesen's mind, that makes Sue a success.
"These numbers validate there is a need out there for events that are educational and entertaining," said Sue Grosboll, museum director. "Even people who had been to the exhibit in Chicago said they liked it better here. They were very impressed with what we had done and liked the fact that there were so many learning stations to go with it. ... That really made it an exhibit for all ages." (read the entire article)
The folks at DinosaursRock.com agree. It doesn't matter if it's a private birthday party for a dozen kids, a school assembly, after school program or shopping mall exhibit .... put on a real dinosaur display and the people will come!
