Meetup?

Are there any DPers left in Shanghai. I kind of miss meeting up and
shooting the IT/SW breeze. Anyone want to meetup at Cottons on An Ting
Lu (or wherever) for a drink/chat? I'm thinking during the week about
7:30 ish.

it's been pretty quiet indeed.
you guys should definitely meet and see if one or two of you would
want to be more active about organizing this, maybe even once every
two months or so. I'm not able to do this because I'm in New York but
maybe I can help with finding some potential presenters/guests like
we've had before.

Yes, lets meet up this wednessday arround 7:30 pm..   If any one wishes to present, they are welcome.   If not we can just discuss verbally some ideas about most recent advances in IT/SW..   There are alot of new topics we can discuss. Forexample   - Cloud computing services suchs Amazon EC2, Microsoft Azeus, Google Apps.   When to switch to the cloud and when not to switch ?   - Microsoft Strategy to release a free web version of  office (word, excel, powerpoint) online. What will be the impact to google docs, and microsoft long term competitive advantage on office productivity applications   - 3G networks adoption in China and the opportunities for mobile apps developers.     If there will be more than 4 people showing up, then I will be ready to do some research and through a couple of slides about cloud computing.. Never been to a DP meetup, but will be happy to go to Cottons :-)

I'm in the Philly, but we can even have a virtual meeting using
something like wonderland (like 2nd life). Will let you know when its
setup... I can give a talk on JavaFX or on advance groovy/grails
development or on Android development. Another language I've been
using a lot is Scala but i'm still a noob in that language.

I'm no longer in Shanghai but would be interesting to keep in touch one way
or another.
Been out of the IT loop for a while but like to get back into it again.
