Dear philosophers,
I'll be leaving Shanghai for at least a year at the end of August, and would like someone from the group to take over my responsibilities. I think a popular group vote for this role would make sense if enough people volunteer for it.
The responsibilities of this role include:
-formal representation of the group's members and their interests in public (doesn't happen often, but still)
-organization and management of group's activities (this may include finding venue(s), a projector, negotiating deals, inviting speakers)
-cheering the group to show up at the meetings
Most of my time was involved looking for speakers and coordinating tasks, which don't take that much time and are fun to do. It's also a good way to expand your network of professional connections and friends.
