We are one of Australia's leading eLearning companies, with a head office in Melbourne, Australia.

We are looking for a range of talented staff to join us in our newly established Shanghai office to work on some fantastic projects.

Position Description: PHP Web Developer - Shanghai

We need someone with a thorough understanding of PHP application development, preferably with experience using the Drupal framework. You will be part of a vibrant and highly skilled team comprising project managers, developers, illustrators, graphic and instructional designers working from both our Melbourne and Shanghai offices. Daily tasks will include writing and testing well documented PHP code inside Drupal modules or snippets, constructing tests using Selenium, deploying code to test and staging servers and maintaining up to date work status in our bugtracking system. You will report to a Project Manager/SCRUM Master on projects, and be supported by a Technical Lead in the Melbourne office. We are using SCRUM to develop our web projects, with an emphasis on creating working code with tests over heavy up front documentation, so the work involves regular communication with other team members. You will not be asked about your TPS Reports.

Skills:

Essential:

PHP
HTML / CSS
SQL
Attention to detail, rigorous testing during development, writing clean code
Ability to learn new skills
Experience with version control systems (SVN, CVS )
Reasonable command of English

Nice to have:

Computer Science / Software Engineering degree
Drupal experience
Experience with testing frameworks (Selenium)
Javascript/ AJAX /etc
Linux web server administration
Flash (ActionScript 2.0)
XML / XSLT
Experience contributing to Open-Source projects

Remuneration
