VideoPad Video Editor (or simply VideoPad) is a video editing application developed by NCH Software. It is complemented by the VirtualDub plug-ins that work with the software.[2][3][4][5] VideoPad integrates WavePad, a sound-editing program;[6] MixPad, a sound-mixing program;[7] and PhotoPad, an image editor.[8]

VideoPad uses two screens: the first for a preliminary review of chosen video and audio snippets and the second to review the entire track. The application supports several video effects, including those involving light, color, transitions, and text.[11]

VideoPad is presumably trialware. The free edition is feature-limited, in particular only AVI and WMV export is supported, while the non-free version has more advanced features.[12] VideoPad Master Edition supports plugins while the free version does not. The non-free edition does not limit simultaneous video tracks, but the free one allows at most two concurrent tracks and limits export file type options after the trial period expires.[4] VideoPad is also available on Steam.[13]

Redding Record Searchlight columnist Andrea Eldridge wrote in 2012 that the "easy-to-use VideoPad brings advanced features to the beginner".[5] She said that VideoPad has a voice-over feature Windows Movie Maker did not have. The feature allows users to either record their own narration or upload existing recordings.[5] Softonic.com said VideoPad was "simple" and "easy to use" but noted that "more advanced users will definitely find it too basic" and lamented that the program had "only three [transitions]".[11] Danny Chadwick of Top Ten Reviews rated VideoPad a 6.15/10. He said the application was "great for beginners" but that it lacked "many of the transitions or extras that are standard in similar applications".[3] Maximum PC contributor Ben Kim stated in 2014 that "VideoPad is easily the best free video editor available." Kim wrote that VideoPad is "a stellar editor that manages to pack an almost obscene number of features into a surprisingly digestible package".[15]

To use this feature, you need to place the video clips on different tracks. Select one or more clips and click Sync Audio from the Audio tab. The selected clips will be aligned to the nearest track that matches the audio.

You can add several types of media: video, audio and images. These are separated into several time lines, either sequential or parallel (the latter only for audio), and you can then begin to shape your creation.

For this you can draw upon the retouching and video optimization tools included in the program. These allow you to adjust the levels of brightness, color and contrast, or apply different effects to each video clip.

Well, this program has some tools and you can also download additional ones. I installed it and had a lot of fun editing video, and it has different output formats, up to 3GP for mobile ... I recommen...

Uptodown is a multi-platform app store specialized in Android. Our goal is to provide free and open access to a large catalog of apps without restrictions, while providing a legal distribution platform accessible from any browser, and also through its official native app.

I installed VideoPad Video Editor recently and now I'm unable to install it. There is a listing in my Add/Remove programs and it appears to go through the uninstall steps, but when it's done everything is still there and even after reboot it remains. I have Malwarebytes pro version and have scanned my system, including rootkits, but no threats are found. My system seems to be slowing down more and more each day and I work from home so I'm worried it's going to continue to get worse. I'm using Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit.

Yes, it uses the program's own uninstaller. Then it presents you with a list of any leftovers and registry entries that the uninstaller might have missed. You can then choose from the list, what you want it to remove. So long as you follow the recommendations and only choose the bold text items to remove, you should have no problems.

I'm using the non-commercial version of VideoPad Video Editor. This issue isn't covered in NCH Software's FAQ on this app, and any attempts I make to find any contact information for technical support on this app just re-directs me to this FAQ.

When I download some videos off youtube and try to split them up so I can use small clips for use in my own videos, the videos will sometimes freeze at whatever frame I happen to split at. The audio will play without issue, but the video is frozen. Whatever frame was displayed when I split, the rest of the video will display that frame while the audio plays like it's supposed to.

I have the exact same problem. For me the only way to temporarily fix it is duplicate the Original clip, and put that in. Recently this started occuring more often, up to the point where I can barely edit for two minutes or the damn thing freezes again. Seems not many people have this, haven't been able to find a fix anywhere...

i have also found an easy FIX to it, at the beginning of your video sequence that keeps freezing there is a S like shaped icon that adds a fade in option, click it and set to something like 00.0001 (the fade doesnt even show up with such a small number). now try and play your video again it should work fine now.

This page is about Review VideoPad Video Editing Software, an easy video editor for anyone. (I am not their affiliate). Here I explain how I use videoPad to edit our Chinese home cooking videos for my Youtube channel.

When I started to make home cooking videos, I had no idea about the video editing software. There are so many options out there. It was very time consuming even just to check all those reviews for the video editor, plus trying to figure out what was the best fit for my purpose.

So here are my own steps for finding software based on my purpose, and how I used this software. I also include some screenshots for the demo and pros & cons at the end. Hope this can help you to make a quick start to make videos.

From my own experince, VideoPad is an efficient video editor for those who have zero experience in video editing. It is good for a beginner who wants to get a video done as quickly as possible (based on a short learning time). Plus, who does not want to invest too much money to start with, do not require too much on visual effects (simple looks, not fancy ones, in my opinion).

Before we make the decision to buy anything, we need to know why we need this. Because this will help us to choose what to buy, and how much we want to spend. The purposes of making videos may include:

If this is why you want to make videos, then you may not need spending money on the video editing software. There are many free online tools, such as YouTube Video Editor, which can turn your clips into a short video and share online straight away.

Some software may produce higher quality than another, but it can take the time to learn their features. When I started to make home cooking videos, I just wanted to get my video done first to see how it worked. Get it done first, becuase we can always learn and improve later on.

We all love free stuff, but the free product comes with limited results. I know if I pay, it would save my time and give the quality I want. So I have no complaints about paying it. It is how a business works. No business can afford to give freebie all the time.

I like VideoPad is just one off payment rather than recursive payment, such as pay monthly or annually. There are online editing software paid monthly, but If you do not produce video very frequently, it might not suit you. I try to make about two videos each month becuase I only work on this site in spare time. Therefore one off payment suits my case.

So far I am happy with the quality produced by VideoPad. Maybe by investing for a more expensive device or software can improve the quality more, but I personally like the authentic feeling from the home cooking environment, nothing luxury or extremely tidy, but it feels real. Sometimes I even ignore Youtube editor's suggestion for editing camera shaking, because we are not shooting in a studio instead it is in our own kitchen. I want to show how real home cooking looks like.

There are mainly three areas you need to consider in order to edit yourown home videos. I am trying to explain in details. For those who knowone or two things about video editing, you may skip this section. Tomake things easy to explain, I made a figure here.

The Input
First, you need the equipment to capture the video. This is considered as the input for the editing software. The video format is different depending on what equipment you use to capture video.

So when you check the video editing software, the supporting data format is one thing you must check. Some free video editor may only process certain types of file formats. If a video editing software does not support your video format, then it is not suitable for you.
