I have been approved for Instagram Shopping but when I try to tag a product I get the message "This product does not use the domain you selected for Instagram Shopping". I don't know what this means, or where to fix it. Square? Facebook? Instagram? The domain I'm using is the free Square shopping URL which ends in square.site. Anyone else experienced this?
I did some Googling of that error message, and it seems like this is some kind of error on Facebook or Instagram's end. It does sound like some people were able to solve that by going into their Facebook Business manager settings and verifying the domain name there. If you try that, make sure to do the verification tag option so you can use that as a header code in Website > Integrations within the Square Online overview page.
Took me forever to figure this out, but I had to go into Instagram Settings-->Business-->Shopping-->Website and update the website to my Square site. I thought it was already set to that, but turns out it was set to my old WooCommerce site (which I couldn't get to work with FB/IG).
Thanks for the response! I have done that, and it used to work. But then I changed domains and Instagram stopped working. I went into IF settings to verify the new domain. But it will not verify... The meta tag is there on my page.... I can see it in the code. But it will still not verify through Facebook Business/Instagram.
I am having similiar issues. I was approved for shopping, verified my domain, my facbook and instagram pages are connected. When I go to Instagram shopping I see 3 product sources to choose from, all of which are pre-selected. I can not deselect one. When I try to tag a product, it says no products found.
So a long time ago, i didnt know how to set up instagram shopping and i had an old square/weebly website. I put that website on my set up instagram shopping. It said to verify your domain. I didnt know I had to pay back then, so today, I tried to verify it so I looked up how to do it and it said i had to pay for a domain. But, i realized that I cant change the website on instagram because i have to verify it first. But I have a new website running and published but I can't change it on the instagram set up process of verify your domain. I tried to delete my old site but it still didn't work and my old site is completely gone. Im trying to buy a domain for my website but there is no point because I cant even change my website on verify domain. Does anyone know how to restart the whole "Set Up Instagram Shopping" process?
I have this problem like the thread you replied too. I can't seem to tag my products on instagram. Yesterday I got my shop to work by adding the meta tag to the shop code. This worked, fb and insta shop works. but now I can't tag. I already did the verification thing of the domain, I don't dare to go there again, as it will probably will stop my shop from working. Is there any other way that you maybe know how to fix this? that would be great.
how did you get your meta tag in the shop code? We are having major problem with this and can't get it to work.. Just all of a sudden wouldn't connect and now the "pixel" is saying that a bunch of our fields are missing when they are actually there - like price, etc.
I tried to update my Instagram app and it's been stuck saying "Waiting" for several days now. I've tried powering on and off the phone, I can't delete the app on the phone or when it's plugged into iTunes on my macbook. So I can't update or delete the app, I can still update all of my other apps so this one is just stuck! Any advice?
I had the same problem. To fix it I had to restore my ipod to factory settings (which is always a pain), then I redownloaded instagram. It started doing it's little "Waiting..." game again, but this time I was able to delete it. I then went to Settings > iTunes & App Stores and singed out of my Apple ID. Then, I restarted my ipod after closing all the programs. After turning my ipod back on, I was able to successfully download the app.
Thanks: it's SettIngs / General / Storage & Icloud Usage / Manage Storage. BUT it appears to be either an issue with App Store or Instagram as it still won't reinstall. Hopefully within 24hrs this will Be resolved It's not an individual issue I don't believe.
it Has to do with the image expiring as @SamB mentioned.
Originally, when i built my zap, i was testing an old prompt result which expired from Microsoft Azure server but when testing with a fresh record, it works with no problem.
I hope this helps in the step that says Failed to create a media in Instagram for Business,"Signature not valid in the specified time frame"
Pew Research Center conducted this study to understand how TikTok users, X (formerly Twitter) users, Instagram users and Facebook users experience politics on these platforms. For this analysis, we surveyed 10,287 adult internet users in the United States from March 18 to 24, 2024.
This is a Pew Research Center report from the Pew-Knight Initiative, a research program funded jointly by The Pew Charitable Trusts and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Find related reports online at -knight/.
X stands out as a place people turn to for politics. A majority of X users (59%) say keeping up with politics or political issues is a reason they use it, compared with 36% of TikTok users and even smaller shares of Facebook or Instagram users (26% each).
This is one of two Pew Research Center reports on habits and attitudes on different social media platforms from the Pew-Knight Initiative, a research program funded jointly by The Pew Charitable Trusts and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
The relationship between social media and elections has often been rocky. In 2016, platforms struggled to stop the spread of election misinformation. After 2020, they grappled with decisions to ban former President Donald Trump.
Not everyone is convinced platforms are a dire threat to democracy. But as experts warn misinformation could worsen in 2024 and the Supreme Court tackles cases defining free speech on social media, the question persists: Are these platforms good for democracy?
For Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, the most common view is that each has no impact on democracy. Over half of Instagram users say so, as do 49% of TikTok users and 43% of Facebook users.
People are far more likely to see politics than share about it. Just 14% of X users say at least some of what they post or share on it is about politics or political issues. About one-in-ten Facebook, TikTok and Instagram users say the same.1.
Accusations of political bias and censorship on platforms have been widespread in recent years, both in the news and among the general public. But what do users of these platforms think about the content they see?
Still, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok users are more likely to say what they see is mostly liberal than mostly conservative. About a quarter on each platform say what they see is mostly liberal. Smaller shares perceive a conservative lean.
Politics belonging there: About two-thirds of those who share things about politics on TikTok or X say a reason why is that politics belongs there. Far fewer on Instagram (45%) or Facebook (40%) say this.
For some platforms, we were also able to explore how these reasons might vary by party.2 For example, on X, Republican users who post about politics are more likely than their Democratic counterparts to cite their views being welcome there as a major reason why they do so (54% vs. 33%).
Most users think people feel free to express political views on these platforms. About nine-in-ten X users and a similar share of TikTok users think so. Three-quarters of Instagram users and 71% of Facebook users say the same.
Majorities of users across the political aisle say this, but Republican users are less likely than Democrats to think people feel free to talk about politics on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. For example, they are more skeptical about free expression on Facebook: 35% of Republican Facebook users think people do not feel free to express political views there, compared with 20% of Democrats.
However, similar shares across parties see X as a place for free expression. About nine-in-ten Republican users think people there feel free to express political views, and roughly the same share of Democratic users say so.
With open expression can come anger and abuse. Our previous work shows that while online harassment occurs in a wide range of places from gaming to dating apps, it most often occurs on social media sites. And a rising share of Americans have been harassed online because of their political beliefs.
The extent to which people think harassment is a problem differs by party, especially on X. Democratic users are about three times as likely as Republican users to say harassment is a major problem (48% vs. 15%).
Your hashtags are not working because you are inconsistent in posting and use the same hashtags regularly. You are mismatching content and hashtags, not using enough hashtags, and using too competitive hashtags.
A hashtag is essentially a combination of letters, phrases, and numbers (with no spaces) that is preceded by the # symbol. Using hashtags is a nifty way of categorizing your content. For example, #fitnessfreak would indicate that the post you are using it with has something to do with working out, eating healthy or generally keeping fit.
