Let's check in with Real Vocal String Quartet… you last heard big news from us when we went and stole the show at APAP in New York in January. Well, that was only the beginning (we hope!) We can't wait to reach out to new fans at the sold out show by Beats Antique this friday at the Fillmore in SF! We'll open with our original set, then join Beats Antique and a host of awesome bay area musicians for an epic show. (sorry it's already sold out)
We're excited to re-join forces with Alicia Jo Rabins of Girls In Trouble, last seen sharing a bill with RVSQ in NYC… now also joined by Mirah for an intimate concert at Subterranean Arthouse in Berkeley on April 15. On the Evie Ladin trail, we're bringing some sweet old-time and original jams to the Haight on March 30. Get introduced to bona fide accordion babe Amber Lee at this show, also joined by Jeremy Rourke and Tom Lattanand. Weds. But what about the notorious Dina Maccabee Band, you ask? Well we're following up with a great lineup at the Makeout Room on April 3, joined by awesome acts Karina Denike and FpodBpod. If you haven't seen either of those bands, or if you have, you're in for a treat. Make Out Room, April 3, on 22nd St. btwn Mission and Valencia, San Francisco, CA. 8pm!

I was at SXSW last week with Foxtails Brigade and happened to meet some nice folks from the Brazilian rock band Holger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwEPfEOis0c. Turns out hey were pretty excited to hear about Killbossa… the Brazilian Tropicalia Cover Band that happens to have a show coming up on April 2 at Levende East, 827 Washington Street Oakland (time TBA)
And for the out of towners, April is the time to check out the first real tour by Aaron Novik's Thorny Brocky. We're going to L.A. and also up to the northwest, so definitely hit up www.aaronnovik.com to see the finalized tour dates.
