Dimestore 2 (or D-square-2 as all the young hip trendies call it) was properly awesome.
Quite different to the first one in that the party/one-offish atmosphere of Dimestore 1 was replaced with something more sustainable and it's a pretty fantastic feeling to know that this can keep going. It did in fact keep going right until closing time, with the dancing starting to kick off quite late in the evening (completely opposite to last time).
Anway, enough navel-gazing.
Last night's success means we're definitely booked into the future, and the next night will be on November 11th (2nd friday of the month as ever). So when you've finished watching sombre plays about life in the trenches and reading 'Dulce et Decorum Est,' come rock it out at DD3.
Photos of last night will be up soon (when David gets back to London), and finally a couple adverts:
1. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. This is new on that more4 digital channel (although it's been on in the US for some time. It's a satirical news show, and it's probably in the top 3 best shows ever. If you don't get digital, you can watch a bazillion clips on his website at:
http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/the_daily_show/index.jhtmlAnd you should.
2. Someone was has come up with a pez dispenser mp3 player. It is no longer able to dispense Pez, but it (and its website) is one of the coolest things I've seen in ages. Preloaded with decent music, too. If you have an american friend get them to send you one.
