Ihave Vegas pro 15 steam version. I like using steam and I am looking for the upgrade to 16 from 15 and I cant find it in the steam store. I need this now please. I did saw the upgrade to 16 on your website. Is that going to work with my steam version? Please send a link to that upgrade in case I got the wrong one. I need to buy this now please. I need support for HEVC. My Vegas Pro 15 stutters too much when editing. I read 16 supports HEVC so I'm assuming there's no more stuttering when previewing footage
it asked me for a serial number and I did put my steam serial number and it said its not available for it. Steam version is vegas pro 15 edit. Im trying to get the vegas pro 16. Should I get the vegas pro 16 edit? They need to put an upgrade package in steam. This is all legit and I cant even do a thing here.
"Steam customers do not have a serial number for the MAGIX account. So, they need to check if an upgrade is available in the Steam Store or contact MAGIX Customer Service (
infos...@magix.net) to receive a personally upgrade offer." (From Magix Sales Dept., quoted here as well.)
Oh I see... where the serial number goes in mine its just blank. I have everything else. they shouldn't do that for steam users. if you look at the prices it is more expensive for me to buy it from steam than here.
problem is that the support in steam is terrible. there are a lot of people, users asking for help over there and no one gives a crap. Steam brings in a lot of costumers. Why put the software there if they're not going to take care of them there? I see an upgrade bundle from vegas 14 to 16 but not for 15. That's they kind of thing I am talking about. Do they care? If they don't they should remove it from steam then.
You need to take that up with Steam. Note that the Steam versions do not necessarily have the same features as the Magix releases. That shows in the Steam versions pricing. At the moment you cannot have the best of both worlds.
wow you have no clue how steam works. sony vegas or magix, the seller the one that controls steam store. MagixVegas that's the developer or who is in control of the sony vegas forum to be exact. Steam or valve has nothing to do with sony or magix. they just allow you to sell your product thus giving you a community page with forums. sony can do what ever they want. they can close it, ban everyone, never respond like they are doing right now or what ever.
I think the reason is that a normal user has to pay a lot more than on steam only versions which are always older versions of more than one year ago with less possibilities.
I told you in my first answer that when your number is not accepted it is not possible.
lol. we pay more in steam _Pro_16_Edit_Steam_Edition/ for that you only pay 299 here. anyway, that's no excuse for no support. you pay 400 or 10 dollars or what ever for any software anywhere there should be support for it. Have you seen the prices in steam? and it is possible to upgrade in steam from 14 to 16. Not possible at the moment from 15 to 16 for some od reason. Look here
You do realize, the people here that have responded to you, ARE NOT MAGIX EMPLOYEES, do not claim to be so, and are definitely "NOT SONY". Oh, and I don't work for either company, so note that. They have been quite tolerant, vkmast and j-v, and respectable towards you. Me, well, ...
And, my curiosity about your claim of HEVC, if it is stuttering and not working properly in your current version, exactly what do you think getting a newer version of the same product is going to do for you, if you have the same hardware?
"The sales model through Steam does not allow for us to effectively deliver "upgrade" offers to existing users since we do not receive specific sales information on individual users on that platform. Really, it is up to Steam to start providing a mechanism which could provide a viable upgrade model.
With that said, to compensate for the lack of upgrades, from time to time VEGAS is sold on sale on Steam at a significant discount which should be (extremely) competitive with standard upgrade prices."
Hi, I have enplczru version of the game and I am trying to run the game but I get that steamappid error (65432) I created shortcut and placed -SteamAppId 22490 as launch parameter but I got error saying "Couldnt read arguments." Now I am stuck. I tried to look for solutions but it looks like this solution works only for FNV4GB.exe. Any help guys? I bought the version with all DLC and now this happens...
I bought the DVD version of the Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition, in hope that maybe that is a STANDALONE version, that not require Steam. Just to find out, still need the stupid Steam to run the game! :verymad: :wallbash:
Now I tried run the game under Linux with Wine, the result is the same. Unmodded game runs, but frequent crashes make it impossible to play and enjoy, I always ended up, after many desperate hours of trying to play the game, to ragequit and delete it.
I played all the games when they fresh and new. I played all the previous series many-many-many times, I even still playing a F1 and 2 playthrough that I started early at 2016. I can't even tell how many times I go through F3, both vanilla and with mods.
That error is not specific to that regional version. It means you don't have the "Steam Client" (which is independent of the actual game) running. See the "Issue: Application load error(s)" entry of the "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.
If you still believe the problem is related to having an "enplczru version", please give the complete path where you have the game installed. Most of those who try to help here don't have that regional version and need the information to craft a solution.
So, I try to run the game under Linux with Wine, namely; Manjaro Linux with a pure 32bit Wine installation, so it is already running under a full 32bit enviroment, because I know that the Fallout games are 32bit applications.(exept F4) So thats not an issue, I already run it under pure 32bit.
Why I still believe the problem is with the enplczru version? Because all of those posts around the internet, that marked as solved the problem are all using the "normal" version of the game. And all of those who can't fix this problem, are using this regional version.
So it's really looks like that the New Vegas Script Extender have problem with this regional version, because other versions seems to not have this problem, or can be fixed using one of those numerous solutions.
First of all, that default Steam install path to the "C:\Program Files" folder tree is a problem. Steam now recognizes that it is and provides instructions on how to move it's games from there. Please read the article "Installing games on Windows Vista+" (link in my signature) on why this is a problem, the link to the official Steam instructions, and some tips on moving your Steam games elsewhere. That one step (painful though it is) will solve or prevent many strange problems.
When you move the game, consider changing the name of the install folder to just "Fallout New Vegas" using the "custom install" option (if available. It's been too long for me to recall). However, I have no idea if this will cause problems later on. It was one of the "fixes" others found successful at least initially to get NVSE to load. I recommend trying the following first.
If anyone comes across this post in the future; I had the same problem when using the 4 GB patch in combination with NVSE. My issue was the target link appid didn't match my actual steam appid (most likely due to me having the NV ultimate edition).
You say in the original post that your AppID is "22490". Please verify that is the case as described in these instructions and use the one from the original game shortcut (assuming that works without NVSE) in your shortcut properties of the FNV4GB launcher. Note that because the path to your game contains embedded spaces, the entire path needs to be placed within quotation marks (i.e. "") everywhere it is used in the shortcut link. The AppID parameter goes outside of the quotes, on the "target" property line ... as in ("E:\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\fnv4gb.exe" -SteamAppID 22490); without the parentheses "()".
As you have followed the instructions on enabling the "game error log", please check the "nvse.log" in the game root folder ("..\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas enplczru"). It should start with lines similar to:
I managed to get my enplczru with the "application error P:0000065432" and "couldn't read arguments" errors working. Check the attached picture for some visual info as you go along the steps. You'll know what each is after you reach the step.
This part is only for the normal people, like me, who do not have Fallout NV installed in the default directory where windows is installed - C:\. If you are not normal and have it installed in C:\ - ignore this step. Also bear in mind that if you are not normal and have the game in C:\ but the folder's name is Fallout New Vegas enplczru, you should do this as well!!
The second part is about getting NVSE to load properly. For this I only managed to do it through the "4GB Fallout New Vegas - Updated" mod. This is a tool that let's you load Fallout New Vegas with lots of Mods and Texture Packs without getting crashes. It sets a 4GB Virtual Memory Address Space for the game to use, hence its name.
As for the change - I think it's a bad example for other titles. Imagine if RHCP games (there's a handful of them) started to transform into Russian-only. Ugh. I have(had?) a RHCP version of New Vegas, and I played it exclusively in english. I don't want to play adapted games, I want them in original (English) language. Forcing people to play in one language without an option to at least buy english version is cruel and stupid, imo.
