This is my second PC where the audio has crackling and my microphone has a constant whining sound. When I got this new PC there was no audio troubles but my computer would have random stutters and I updated everything from the BIOS to the drivers, even doing a fresh windows install which now brought on crackling in my audio. I am going to look into seeing if it is a problem with the electrical currents in my house causing this issue since all of solutions have been tried. I was curious if anyone thinks it has to do with "Electromagnetic interference" as multiple devices in my house have had similar issues and none seem to be due to software or hardware.

I've already tried playing with the buffer settings but it doesn't matter, ableton keeps sounding bad (crakles) and It's really unhinging. My setup is a Victus 16 laptop (i7-12700H,16GB DDR5-4800 Mhz, SSD, RTX 3050T) and a Behringer UMC 204HD audio interface (Asio UMC drivers already updated). Before you say anything about the card, it works perfectly with my desktop pc, no crackling and no latency issues. Hope you can help me, thank you for reading :)

My girlfriend recently bought an HP Pavilion Model QCWB335 and she is experiencing issues with crackling sounds coming from the speakers. We have already tried rebooting the computer, lowering the volume down to 50 % and using headphones (same problem occurs). What should be done in order to solve this issue?

I am so glad to hear that your speakers are now crackle free. Please consider marking Message 2 as 'Accept as Solution' so that anybody else in the community who may experience this issue can find the solution more easily.

Just thought I would let you know that it happened to me. I was trying to listen t o something and I accidently pressed a button in sound settings and ever since it made the crackling and "alien" sound. I have a hp Pavilion 360 on windows 10. Anyway I finally got it to work by dissconecting my beats headphones. I dont know why but that was the issue. So I dissconnected my beats, but then I could still hear it so I restarted my computer and now it is absalutely fine. I can hear my songs. I have NOT tried to reconnect my beats but I do plan to.

Usually crackle and distortion are the result of PCM data points exceeding their bounds. For example, if you have wav files with data that ranges from -32768 to 32767 (16-bit encoding represented via signed shorts), and the values go outside of that range, then distortion of various sorts can occur.

There are some situations where it takes an audio thread a bit of time to finish and respond to a state change. But I can't think of any where crackle or fuzz would be the result. (But that doesn't mean there are no such situations.)

Simply bypassing a number of samples, via skip(), should (theoretically) only help if the same crackle and fuzz are on the original wav files, and you are skipping past the distorted section. However this should result in a click if starting from an already audible volume level.

Discord is a proprietary, cross-platform, all-in-one voice and text chat application. Many open-source communities have official Discord servers as well. Discord can be used through a web browser or through the desktop application, which is made with Electron.

Another alternative is Vesktop, available at vencord-desktop-binAUR. (Warning: Vesktop comes with Vencord preinstalled, a client mod, which is against the TOS and might get your account terminated. Use at your own risk)

As software has made the transition to web services, a number of online reminder services have appeared. Users subscribed to those services usually receive their reminders by email or SMS.[citation needed] Context-aware reminder systems can set reminders based on the user's current location.[1]

Note: I was observing the USB input while on the input page and noticed the USB input was intemittently blinking randomly. It seems to be a bad connection and it can be heard like a crackling sound through my headphones. I am also unable to get any volume to speak of and my headphones are not power hungry. Sennheiser 58X known to not need much power. Thanks.

While there has been speculation that it's a hardware issue, Apple seems to believe it could be based on wireless interference or a specific app, and recommends people who hear crackling sounds follow these steps:

Affected models have static or crackling sounds that increase in loud environments such as with movement or when talking on the phone, or Active Noise Cancellation that fails to work properly with a loss of bass, increased background sound, or a street or airplane noise.

A game console is always in perfect sync with the TV (usually CRT) because the console itself generates the video signal, meanning NTSC games are native in 59.94Hz (audio & video) and that is exactly what the console outputs to the TV.
Emulators on the other hand do NOT have control over the refresh rate of the TV because the GPU of your device generates the video timing and it might not be perfect 59.94Hz as the console outputs.
Lets assume the GPU runs the desktop in 60.01Hz but NTSC games are still 59.94Hz, as you can see there is our problem we are trying to fix.

Since the refreshrate in HZ of the GPU timting is fixed we want to synchronize the NTSC game to it (vsync) thus making the game run several 1/100 of Hz faster, and then fix the resulting audio crackling.
The way retroarch fixes the audio crackling is by changing the NTSC game audio pitch by dynamically adjusting/stretching the audio pitch to be in sync with the GPU refreshrate.
This audio stretching from 59.94HZ to 60.01Hz is roughly 0.1% change in pitch which is inaudible to us but fixes the sync issues.

I normally forget about drinking water or to engrossed in my work. I've tried apps for reminders but my phone does not always get my attention. I got an apple watch last week to replace my Fitbit last week and stumbled across this app in looking for fitness apps that give the best apple watch experience and I love it. The watch app gives me the needed reminders and makes it easy to register immediately. [...]
Highly recommended!!

Since there was a DEF warning and crackling sound from the speakers, took it to Chrome Motors again. They flashed /reset the music system and did firmware updates for ECU. This happened at 11300Kms. Since the crackling sound from speakers are intermittent issue and happened only twice, there is no way to ascertain that the problem is solved. The total bill was 900 for DEF.

Accordingly, it is easy to delete product files from their destination folder (either intentionally or by error), as well as delete the shortcuts from the Start Menu and the desktop. If the system finds no uninstaller in the destination folder, it may automatically delete product record from "Programs and Features" or "Apps and Features". After that, you will see no signs of presence of the product in the common places. But the driver remains installed and loaded, so you can see the appropriate names in audio device settings.

Signal distortion (garbling, crackling, popping, static-like clicking etc.) usually occur due to buffering problems in audio applications, System Audio Engine or VAC driver itself, if buffer lengths/sizes used for audio data transfer are not enough to compensate application and/or system processing delays. In particular, this is due to non-realtime nature of Windows system, and especially its kernel.

If you are using the Trial version that adds a female voice reminder, please pay attention to how this voice reminder sounds. Because it is added by VAC driver, playback side problems cannot affect it. Therefore, if you play a signal to a Virtual Cable endpoint and hear voice reminder clear but the signal becomes distorted, it means that recording side is OK but playback side has buffering problems. If both voice reminder and useful signal are distorted, it means that buffering problems occur on recording side and/or inside VAC driver.

Windows Server operating systems use different scheduling policies than Workstation (desktop) ones. In particular, default thread execution quantum (time slice) in server OSes is several times longer (usually six times). It allows server threads to make more work within a single execution period but decreases responsiveness to real-time events and audio/video streaming stability.

There are too many things going on in our lives today to keep track of. We get sent messages and emails, we need reminders to do something, we have meetings, we try to develop new habits, and more. Receiving notifications, both on Mac and iOS, allows us to stay on track and not let any task slip through the cracks.

Polenter Desktop Reminder is a free, light and easy-to-use software program designed to help you organize and record your pending tasks, events, and important dates, and to allow you to configure reminders, so that you never forget any of them again.

In addition, you can also set up advanced configurations for your tasks. You can, for example, create program reminders as early as several months before the task is due to take place, and create repetitive tasks with their reminders on a yearly, monthly, weekly, or daily basis. The program also allows to define which you consider being the first day of the week, and can be set up to accept automatic updates. It is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7, Vista and XP, for both 32- and 64-bit versions.
