Hello, mana sira!

Are you feeling awash in the “boys club” of Timor-Leste? When that
creepy guy in Motion started humping your backside, did you wish you
had a good friend to run interference? Are you watching your $1
pirated copy of Sex and the City and missing your girlfriends from
home? Do you long for more chats that easily flow between politics
and pedicures and your personal life? If so, JOIN THE CLUB!

You’ve got to be a pretty amazing woman to end up in Timor-Leste, so
why are we not meeting each other?

I propose a “girls club” of sorts in which ladies of Timor can meet,
exchange thoughts and stories, do fun activities, and UNITE! I want
the expat women of Timor (and any Timorese women that feel so
inclined) to be a force to be reckoned with. I want each of us to
have girlfriends to call up for a cup of coffee, a pedicure, a
thought, an emergency- anything. And I want to hear your ideas/
expectations/concerns!

I’m happy to play coordinator, but I need input from those
interested. I imagine a place where women can share both their
intellectual and fun sides; a group that allows women to express who
they are and what they think and provides a network of strong,
interesting women to do things with.
