Basically I downloaded a few seasons to watch before bed while I'm camping. When I go to play them, it requests my pin code, which I'm entering and I've double and triple checked to make sure is accurate. It's saying it's the incorrect pin, except it isn't. Any way around this? I don't have a mobile hotspot to connect my laptop to in order to remove the pin. Kinda stupid they'd pin-lock offline content that requires an internet connection to verify.

We have a trailer that has zero cell service, we sometimes have problems even getting text messages out. We have tvs with rokus hooked up to them for movies we have downloaded but we would like to use netflix's offline ability to watch those shows also. Is this possible? We have the roku that has a USB on it that we plug a hard drive into. Any help would be appreciated.

So Netflix's app actually supports downloading content for viewing offline. It sounds like you actually want to rip the video to video files for permanent keeps. There are ways to do this but this kind of discussion probably isn't even allowed here since it is piracy.

I actually ended up getting a cheap tablet + SD card to work as a media centre. So if there are things I can not stream on netflix (due to unavailability), I download it on to my tablet and chrome cast it over.

Netflix's offline viewing feature allows you to enjoy your favorite content wherever you are. You can make it even more powerful by turning on automatic downloads. While streaming is the main focus, your Netflix subscription isn't only about movies and shows. Netflix Games adds excellent titles to its library regularly at no additional cost to you.

Netflix added offline storage within the last year, but I haven't really heard many people talking about it. Keeping your shows stored offline will allow you to watch them when you don't have a Wi-Fi or cellular connection, like on an underground train, on an airplane (the Wi-Fi on planes still largely blocks streaming services) or out in the woods on a camping trip.

Despite having previously said the feature would never be introduced, and later saying it was "keeping an open mind" about the tool, Netflix finally gave in and added offline downloads to "many streaming shows".

Netflix has now announced the addition of offline videos to its Windows 10 PC app. Like the mobile app, only certain tv shows and films are available for offline download to your desktop, but it's a big step forward in terms of competing with other streaming services such as Amazon Prime. The updated service is available from today onwards, for all Windows 10 users.

If you have a particular title in mind, search for that title using the built-in search tool. If the title is available offline, a download icon will be shown next to its name. For TV shows, the icon will appear next to each available episode.

Offline viewing has been a long-desired feature for Netflix subscribers. The company resisted it for years, saying that mobile networks would eventually advance to the point that you'd have no disconnected moments. But two things wore down Netflix's resistance in the last couple years. Rivals with offline viewing, like Amazon's Prime video service, have become more competitive. In addition, Netflix's global expansion to places like India brought it to countries with weaker or spottier mobile networks, making downloads more valuable to members.

Some licensed shows and movies aren't available to watch offline, such as the BBC's "Sherlock" series or the Disney's animated hit "Zootopia." Even some Netflix originals, like "The Little Prince" film, can't be downloaded.

Members need to update their Netflix app and look for an arrow symbol next to a title to indicate downloading. Subscribers can also look to a new category on the Netflix app's side menu called "Available for Download," which collects all the programs you can watch offline.

Update your Netflix app, like, now, because the online streaming company announced today that some of our favorite movies and series (we're looking at you, Narcos and The Crown) are available offline. That means you have access to Kimmy Schmidt, the Stranger Things gang, and countless movie classic without needing to be tethered to Wi-Fi. All you have to do is click the download button on a movie or show's details page, and you can watch it later sans internet.

Netflix isn't the first streaming service to let travelers and binge-watchers catch up on their favorite characters' antics offline. In fact, Amazon Prime has been letting users download movies on-the-go since late 2015, but your download expires 30 days after download or 48 hours after you start watching. (Netflix offline videos have no stated expiration dates.) One pro-tip we've learned from downloading First Wives Club on Prime for a recent holiday trip: give yourself plenty of time. These files are big, whether you're downloading them to your Android or iOS phone or tablet at home before you jet off, so you won't be able to rush a download at the last minute.

As of now, it seems like you can only download one movie or series at a time, and Netflix's Help Center suggests that you delete what you've watched offline before you try taking on another show. And while not every film or series in the vast Netflix library is ready for download, according to Eddy Wu, Netflix's Director of Product Innovation, there will be more titles added in the coming months. So keep checking back on the app to see if your favorite episode of Parks and Rec is available just in time to distract you from the horrors of holiday travel.

There is no official Netflix for Mac app. But you can use iMazing or a Windows virtual machine to download the iOS\/Windows Netflix app on your MacBook/iMac. If you want to download Netflix movies on Mac to watch offline on a journey or a flight, you may find there's actually no Netflix for Mac app. Until now, Netflix only offered Mac users streaming content on its official website. That's really a pity! But don't worry, this article is here to help you out. Read on to get 3 methods to download Netflix movies on Mac to watch offline.

Netflix was the last to join the likes of Amazon Prime and catch-up services in offering its subscribers the flexibility to watch content offline. For a while, Netflix officials have been shutting down all downloading queries cold.

Then, as the company focused on growth outside the US, the offline mode was kind of a deal breaker to push subscription rates in emerging markets. In those countries, consumers had already adapted their behaviour to lower levels of broadband speeds and Wi-Fi access and a Netflix offering would have seemed incomplete or impractical without the option to download content.

As the Streaming Wars are heating up between the various providers, having offline capability is seen as a big value-add and could persuade people to sign up with Netflix over another service which does not yet offer this.

Whenever you open any Netflix game, you'll need to be connected to the internet so the app can check whether you still have a Netflix subscription. But once you've logged in, some games will let you go offline and play without any issues.

Unfortunately, you can't see whether a game has Cloud Saves by looking at its app store page. You'll have to check the game's About this game menu, like you did to check whether it had offline play.

Note that not all content from Netflix is available to download, sadly. This could be due to a number of factors including cost, popularity, availability and complications surrounding content rights. It may be that the show/film is available through another provider for offline viewing, so check that out before you discount it completely.

This post will walk you through the steps to download your favorite Netflix movies and TV shows, which you can enjoy offline via your Windows and Android device.
