The music production of the film began in mid 2020 and in a Zoom video interaction, Prasad revealed that five songs were finalized for the film and had started composing the tunes during the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19.[2] By the end of May 2021, Devi has recorded composition of an item number which has folk music influences.[3][4] Ganesh Acharya has choreographed the dance moves in the first song "Daako Daako Meka" and "Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava".[5] On 26 February 2021, Jani Master announced that he has choreographed a song from the film.[6] Earlier Nora Fatehi was confirmed to feature alongside Allu Arjun in an item number in September 2021. The song, which was later released as "Oo Antava..Oo Oo Antava", was reported to be choreographed by Sekhar.[7][8] Finally in November 2021, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was announced to be part of the item number alongside Allu Arjun, and was choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.[9] The song was shot at Ramoji Film City at the end of November 2021.

It was a satire on the male gaze. I know I got a lot of criticism about pandering to the male gaze while making a satire on the male gaze. My logic was who else can satire a male gaze except for the nautch girl I was playing in the song or an actor who has a wide experience or wide range of the male gaze? Only a nautch girl or me can satire the male gaze."
Oo Antava is a song from Pushpa: The Rise. It stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The story is about Pushpa ( played by Allu Arjun) who paves his way from being a coolie for a Red Sandalwood mafia to the top of the mafia.
