During the French Renaissance, ten years after the death of Auguste de Barbarac, his teenage daughter, Danielle, has been forced to become a servant to her stepmother, the Baroness Rodmilla de Ghent, and to her stepsisters, Marguerite and Jacqueline, the latter of the two being the only one kind to her. One morning, Danielle has an unexpected confrontation with Prince Henry as he is attempting to flee in order to avoid an arranged marriage, at first mistaking him for a thief. Henry gives Danielle some gold coins to keep their interlude secret and rides away. He is eventually caught by the Royal Guard after stopping Romani bandits from robbing Leonardo da Vinci, whom King Francis, his father, has invited to the French court.
The Grande Dame tells the Brothers Grimm that her great-great grandmother's portrait hung in Henry's university until the French Revolution. She concludes by telling them while Danielle and Henry did live happily ever after, the point is that they lived.
While the story is fictional, it involves several historical figures, places and events. The film is set in the 16th and 19th centuries and features Francis I, Prince Henry (later Henry II of France), Leonardo da Vinci, The Brothers Grimm, as well as allusions to the explorer Jacques Cartier, the fairy tale collector Charles Perrault, the French colonies in the New World, and the French Revolution.[6]

We saw the HEA on the first night of our vacation and then paid for our whole family to go to the HEA Dessert party on the Terrace, and it was worth every penny. The photographer and amazing desserts, were only icing on the cake that is HEA. I was bawling my eyes out as we left.

In the future, my family can watch a recording of the exact show we were at and hear their own responses while reminiscing with tears in their eyes "Oh, Dad, you Disney geek. You lugged that camera everywhere. and now we have documented evidence of all the fun that was had and minor infractions we committed that annoyed you so."
Was OUAT before or after the HEA show on the night you were there? I think I need to allocate more time than I have in my plan right now to get into a spot. Are strollers allowed? I feel like I never see kids or strollers in these pictures. Thanks for sharing!
This place is so cute and the surrounding trees are beautiful. It is private as it sits at the end of a road and with the tree coverage, you can\'t see other cabins. It\'s pretty quiet and we saw several deer while sitting out by the firepit. The kitchen has all the appliances you could need. There is an automatic gas fireplace in the living room that all you have to do is flip a switch and it\'s on, and it really puts out quite a bit of heat. We will definitely stay there again!
This is the perfect cabin with the perfect furnishings set. The first 2 days and nights were absolutely perfect. We were ready to book our next teip and already looking at dates. However, once all of the construction around the property started back on Monday, it was a different story. The constant sound of saws, nail guns and the worker\'s music made it impossible to enjoy the beautiful porch and patio. It was also quite loud once inside the cabin. We were coming up here to get away from all of the noise. The first 2 days were perfect, but our final day was quite disappointing. While I know this is no fault of the owners of this property, it certainly took away from our long, quiet, romantic weekend away.
Historically, storytellers like myself have been addressing the HEA doctrine with every narrative we spin. According to researchers, these fairytale endings can be traced as far back as the Bronze Age, long before literature had even the language to describe itself.
When I sat down to write the ending of my new novel Mustique Island, I wrote four vastly different endings. One pre-pandemic. One during quarantine. And two in the aftermath. Each one altered the narrative arc of the book resulting in four massive but imperative rewrites. The world had changed entirely. I had changed. Everyone around me had changed. The relational contract between author and reader had changed.
