Bihu (Assamese: বহু) is the festival of New Year of Assam falling on mid-April. This is a festival of nature and mother earth where the first day is for the cows and buffaloes. The second day of the festival is for the man. Bihu dances and songs accompanied by traditional drums and wind instruments are an essential part of this festival. Bihu songs are energetic and with beats to welcome the festive spring. Assamese drums (dhol), Pepa(usually made from buffalo horn), Gogona are major instruments used.[47][48]

In the throwback video, that was taken at an award function around 2020, Ranveer was seen dancing with his energetic moves on stage to his Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela song Nagada Sang Dhol. While he started to revolve around the stage as part of his performance, he fell on one of the dhols that was kept beside. He was seen on stage with Rajkummar Rao and Aparshakti Khurrana who reacted in shock when Ranveer fell inside the dhol. Then they helped Ranveer get out of the dhol. Perhaps the most famous Bhangra instrument is the dhol. It is a double-sided barrel drum that creates the beat to which Bhangra is danced to. The person who plays the instrument, the dholi, plays various beats to create the different Bhangra segments, such as Dhamaal, Jhummar, One side of the dhol has thicker skin, which creates a deeper sound, and the other side has a thinner skin, resulting in a higher-pitched sound. Two sticks are used to play the dhol instrument. The thicker stick, called the dagga, is used to play the bass side. The thinner tilli is used to play the treble side. Both sticks are usually made of wood or bamboo.
