Frankly speaking, I do not know either, as I've rarely looked at modern grammar books as they are just boring. The way I learned Chinese was mainly by pattern drills in the lab, and otherwise, simply by reading. The way I'd like to learn Tibetan is in a similar fashion, but I haven't found any suitable tools yet. Maybe Morpheus will be "the tool": just "Reading & Understanding" - I like this motto, and it would nice if it could appear somewhere in the title of our project, e.g.:
Reading & Understanding Tibetan (etc)
