Like my other posts have shown, I'm still very new to this. So here is my question. Does DIGITS train a caffe model. The DIGITS home page says it uses caffe, but not that it trains a caffe model. I'm starting to work with the Movidius NCS and it can use caffe models to generate the graph file needed to run.

Is the caffe model the same as the DIGITS model generated?

Thank you for your time.

Yes, Digits can train a caffe model.

its been a minute,

So what I'm specifically asking is DIGITS ability to be trained for other object detectors beyond detectnet.

For instance, as I mentioned before, I'm using the Intel Movidius Neural Network Stick. I've been able to get a mobilenetssd up and running on it, https://www.pyimagesearch.com/2018/02/19/real-time-object-detection-on-the-raspberry-pi-with-the-movidius-ncs/, however, I need to start looking at training my own dataset.

Is the output of DIGITS, regarding the .prototext and .caffemodel usable to train a graph that is needed for mobilenetssd? I can't seem to find much on it and what I have found doesn't seem promising. https://github.com/NVIDIA/DIGITS/issues/1398

Any further insight?
