Blog vs. Forum (Which one is better and Why?

I've always been blogging. Most of my career choices have a bit to do with it, and very little to do with my honest opinion. I'm looking for discussions, not just one-time commenters. I have a tech blog -- simple as that. http://digitechguide.wordpress.com/ but something is missing - and that is a true discussion between person to person, not post to a one time commenter.
