Does Digital voice work with rtl-sdr receivers?

Hey guys,
Does this program work with receivers only? I don’t have a usable HF rig right now, but I do have a couple of 81xx based rtl-sdr receivers plugged in on my Mac. Testing program for that chipset says they are fully operational. It would be nice to hear you guys on the various bands with this.

It should Eric. Just feed the FreeDV app with audio.
I use it with SDRplay SDRs all the time too.
If you have CAT control working via hamlib then it'll control the
frequency too.
