freedv on icom 7200

freedv installed on linux mint....problem is that software keys the radio and shows modulation but there is no output signal.....must be a setting on the 7200 that i am missing...anyone have 7200 that works?/////thanks

I have other Icom radios, typically the problem is that you need to set the source of Digital transmissions (USB-D or LSB-D) to USB (Universal Serial Bus).

It's in the connectors sub-menu.

I can set the radio to lsb and turn on data mode (40meter ops)

I can toggle between lsb and usb but there is no usb mode in the toggle, so must be elseware in menus.
