freedv shuts down

Could be not seeing a USB audio device feeding the radio.  Xmit RFI back into the PC USB? Is it receiving okay?

Were the needed Python files downloaded?  If not, it will shut down, it happens to me.  I re-installed it, I saw the Python files being downloaded, then it worked as it should.

Could it be a case of insufficient PC RAM size? Mine is 8GB & works fine.

It’s not that.

 

Microsoft changed the location of the C++ helper files that are needed on a few machines, so it’s grab them correctly.

 

We do have a special updated version of the FreeDV installation files, if anyone else runs into this issue.
